The Story So Far

It's only me. I am back in blogland after nearly 2 years. Well I have had some things to contend with, that prevented me form blogging. So I do apologies for my lack of presence.

This Entry is going to be Photo led, because it's all the work that I have done in the last 2 years.

To say the last 2 years have been hard is an understatement, it has been hell, assessments here and there and tribunals to contend with, but the only thing that kept me sane was crafting, even though there were days, when I just not up to it.

I found the world of Stampin Up and also a person I now think of as a good friend. The Peacock card and the vintage travel card, third one down, and the grunged up leaf card, were made with stamps from Stampin Up's 2015 collection.

I dipped my toes in the the world of Tattered Lace and Sue Wilson, and I was hooked. My love affair with all things dies, was fuelled even more.

I decided I would try different crafts, other than card making, so I took the plunge and bought myself a sewing machine and I decided to make my friends cat a bed. So far I've sewn the patchwork top. I am going to attempt to finish it off. What is stopping me is the fact that I haven't got the pins big enough to go through all three layers and the fact I have no idea how to put the walking foot on. I need to watch a video tutorial, to see how. you know what the walking foot and pins aside, I love it, I find it very relaxing. Another craft I moved into, is clay work, using moulds to make embellishments for various projects. I have always wanted to try mixed media work and I watch a show with Andy Skinner and that was it, I jumped straight in with the crates and the picture frame, that holds a scrapbook page that I created for my parents for their Christmas present. I was really worried that they wouldn't like it, because they had never seen this side of my crafting, but they loved it. the thing that put a dampener on things after, was floods, landslides and being stuck on a train for 2 hours, just to be told that it was going no further and the only option for me was to go back to the place I had just left. well that's enough of that, lets get back to craft.

I ventured into the world of electronic cutting machines, because my father bought me the Silhouette Cameo for a combined birthday/Christmas present, I named Cameron. That opened so many possibilities, on what I could do. With loads of cutting files to use, either for free or 56 pence. I started playing with things and found out loads of techniques that could be done and I am still finding new things I can do with it. Last year I bought myself a Thank god it's all over present, it was the Scan n Cut CM300 as an add on machine, Bran. I use both machines, because they have different abilities. I am still finding my feet with the Scan n Cut. I know that there is so much to find to find out about the machine.

Well I think that's it for now. I am sorry it's photo led, but I promise, I will bring you my normal waffle, that I normally write.

Can I just wish you all I very happy New Year and that 2016 brings you happiness and everything you need.
